Gayle Roseman, originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,
moved to Miami at the age of four. She started dancing
at age five and received dance training in jazz,
tap, ballet and musical theater. Ms. Roseman attended
high school at The New World School of the Arts,
and was in the first graduating class. She then
received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from
a combined program offered by Florida International
University/ New World School of the Arts on a full
Betty Rowen Scholarship.
During her college years, Ms. Roseman choreographed
a dance for the “Upbeat Dancers” at
Glades Middle School which won first place in the
Jazz Production Category at the Dance America Regional
Competition in Tampa, Florida. She has also taught
at numerous local dance studios in the Miami area.
Examples of Ms.Roseman’s performance experiences
include dancing and choreographing for recording
artist Ray Guell of Turnstile Records in 1992, dancing
in “The Corporate Jungle”video for University
of Miami in 1993, traveling throughout Florida dancing
for Burdines, and in 1995, Ms.Roseman was a featured
dancer in the NFL Experience Video for Superbowl
XXIX.
In addition, Ms. Roseman choreographed “Streets”,
a musical theater production at the Performing Arts
Theater in Miami Shores. She also choreographed
for the Danceline at South Miami Senior High School,
as well as the Drill team for the marching band
at Cutler Ridge Middle School. Ms. Roseman has been
teaching Magnet Dance since 1996 at Arthur &
Polly Mays Middle Community School.
