  • The Department of Mental Health Services is hosting three parent information sessions to bring awareness to the common signs that indicate a child may be experiencing stress or a mental health challenge, introduce parents to available District and community mental health resources and inform parents of how the department can help students and families. The sessions are scheduled from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:  December 4, 2018 (Robert Morgan Educational Center), December 5, 2018 (North Miami Senior High) and December 6, 2018 (Ruben Dario Middle).

Arthur & Polly Mays 6-12 Conservatory of the Arts

Arthur & Polly Mays Conservatory of the Arts offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplined visual and performing arts program for students in grades 6 - 12. Designed to address students' interests, skills, and abilities in the arts, this program encourages excellence in the development of their unique talents.

The Conservatory of the Arts: 

    • Offers a high caliber, student-interest driven curriculum that raises the academic bar for all students in the school
    • Provides a unique sequential secondary education that includes rigorous, intensive instruction in the arts at a pre-professional level
    • Affords specialized studies in band, choral studies, orchestra, dance, iWrite, theatre, television production, and visual arts
    • Presents opportunities for students to collaborate and engage in cross-disciplinary projects and performances
    • Promotes critical and creative thinking
